The Cash Scanlon Phillips Foundation was formed as a direct result of the memorial fund established at the Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation in memory of Cash Scanlon Phillips. With funds continuing to grow each year, we decided that more charitable work could be accomplished to benefit Colorado children.

Baby Cash died of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a genetic disease affecting the part of the nervous system that controls voluntary muscle movement. While there was no treatment available at that time, new treatments have since come about. To help other families cope with this diagnosis, we sponsor CURE SMA. Learn more about SMA.
We also make financial awards to charitable organizations in the state of Colorado that are directly involved in improving health and wellness for children. We provide unrestricted gifts to nonprofits like Children’s Hospital Foundation that share our mission of improving quality of life for all children.
