Our Mission

Our Mission

The Cash Scanlon Phillips Foundation was formed as a direct result of the memorial fund established at the Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation in memory of Cash Scanlon Phillips.  With funds continuing to grow each year, we decided that more charitable work could be accomplished to benefit Colorado children.

WE PROVIDE 3 AREAS OF FUNDING:

  1. Children’s Wellness Charities
  2. Helping Families of Severely-Ill Children
  3. Adoption Assistance

Children’s Wellness Charities

Baby Cash died of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a genetic disease affecting the part of the nervous system that controls voluntary muscle movement. While there was no treatment available at that time, new treatments have since come about. To help other families cope with this diagnosis, we sponsor CURE SMA. Learn more about SMA.

We also make financial awards to charitable organizations in the state of Colorado that are directly involved in improving health and wellness for children.  We provide unrestricted gifts to nonprofits like Children’s Hospital Foundation that share our mission of improving quality of life for all children.  If you are a non-profit Colorado children’s charity seeking grant funding, contact us today.

Family Assistance

For children facing life-threatening or life-altering conditions

Families who have a child with a life-threatening or life-altering disease often find themselves in financial hardship. Oftentimes, a parent has to leave a job to provide constant care. We provide financial assistance to help get them through the rough patch so they can focus on caring for their child.  If you know of a family struggling to provide care for a sick or terminally-ill child, contact us today.

Adoption Assistance

Helping families grow and thrive

After the devastating loss of their beloved son Cash, Page and Tess brought closure to their lives through the adoption of an adorable 3-year-old from South Korea named Wan. Through their journey, they learned firsthand the challenges and pitfalls that adoptive parents face. With the cost of adoption often exceeding $30,000, many families suffer financial ruin in the process. The Cash Scanlon Phillips Foundation provides qualified couples and individuals in the state of Colorado with financial assistance to offset the cost of adoption. Without regard to race, religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation, we help families overcome the financial hurdles of adoption so that they may unite with a child in need of a loving home.

Do you need financial assistance to adopt a child? If you have a complete, certified home study that has been approved by a qualified agency or licensed professional in Colorado, contact us today.
